How to get to Fraunhofer?

There are various ways to start at Fraunhofer: internship or student assistant – bachelor's, master's or diploma thesis up to a doctorate – direct entry as a scientist or as a manager.

What should your application include

Letter of application

We would like to know why you decided to apply and what you expect from us and the job that interests you. Please describe the knowledge and skills you can demonstrably bring to this position and tell us something about yourself.

Curriculum vitae

In your CV, please describe your professional career to date. A clear presentation will help us build up a picture of your personality and your qualifications. Your CV should therefore include the most important details about your education and your professional experience, as well as your particular areas of expertise. Feel free to add any other information that might help us get to know you better.

Examination certificates and references from employers

Your certificates and references are proof of all the relevant stages on your CV. They usually include training certificates, academic records and any references from previous employers.

Work samples/publications

If you are applying for a position as a researcher and you have already published papers, a list of your publications to date is of interest to us.
